I wasn't in the "go out every weekend" croud, so I couldn't tell you so much about the bars, but there are some excellent restaraunts, cultural opportunities (on and off campus) and parks available. The school itself has a social calendar that has some fairly big events, and then the smaller ones that a lot of people go to. There's a couple of nice bar/hangout places just across the street from school, but I forgot their names right now.
