Employment Prospects Survey |
| Full-time law program |
Career prospects from OU are nationally competitive as long as you want to
practice in Texas and are in the top ten percent. After that the market in
Oklahoma is great if you were in top 25% and are happy with 45-75K. If not, not
a pretty picture.
The career services office is very responsive and does the best that they can do
with the situation they are in.
OU is rapidly gaining prestige with employers because as they have raised their
standards and attracted better students, employers are beginning to notice the
change and are dipping down a little further into each class. Campus recruiting
is good with a broad range of firms interviewing. Everyone from large national
firms to sole practitioners interviews on campus for jobs and internships. My
post-grad job came from an interview on campus at the end of my second year.
