Quality of Life Survey |
| Full-time law program |
Housing? What housing? You will have to find your own. The GrandMarc
has been popular, but only because of proximity and ease of moving in
(it is furnished). Otherwise, the place is terrible.
The neighborhood is fine for the most part, but there are a number of
popular bars across the street. This means you won't have to worry
about being alone when you walk outside, but you will also probably
witness a barfight while going to buy a diet coke. Its not too bad,
though. It is not a bad area at all, and the bars provide a nice excuse
to grab a drink.
You will spend almost all of your time at the Law School, and will be
cut off from general campus life. If you wanted to be an undergrad,
though, why would you go to law school?
The Law School's facilities are OK, but not great. The architecture
leaves much to be desired, and you hardly feel like you are surrounded
by splendor, but the place works. You will have wireless access
anywhere you go in the school. Pretty much only 2Ls and 3Ls get study
carrels, so you'll have to stake out space at one of the tables int he
library. Generally only an issue for a couple hours in the middle of
the day.
The school has a cafe, but the selection is limited. Across the street
there are several restaurants which are of mediocre quality, but they
are popular.
