U of Minn has a Career Services Office with two full time career counselors
ready to help student with career decisions and the process of applying to jobs
and internships. There are a great deal of internships and clerkships advertised
and available to students. Being a top twenty law school, students at the U of
Minn have an advantage in the national market in that the school has a great deal
of name recognition, allowing students to get a foot in the door at various big
name firms and judicial clerkships.
The U of Minn also has a large number of joint degree programs that allow law
students to further specialize into a particular field of law. Through
additional classes and clinics spcifically directed towards particular fields of
law, students are able to gain a step up in the market place by individualizing
their education.
