Michigan has fantastic law dormitories. Unfortunately, at $9000 a year,
they are a bargain in the Ann Arbor housing market. If you do not plan
to stay in the dorms, be prepared to pay $ 800-1000 a month for a one
bedroom apartment in the campus area, and it will probably have peeling
paint and steam heating. A few miles from campus, apartments get
cheaper, but expect to pay through the nose for parking. Ann Arbor has a
terrible public transit system and it is not fun to wait for a bus that
is 10 min. late when it is 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
