Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time law program |
The application is very standard law school. UM's a very selective
school, but it definitely takes into account diversity factors,
including diversity of experiences. A little-known tip that helped me
out is that like many graduate schools, UM has kind of a scholarship
slush fund just waiting for anyone who wants it - all you have to do is
ask. Call the Dean of Admissions, tell her that you'd love to go to
Michigan, but that you have some scholarship offers at other schools and
you're concerned about finances. When I told her that (which was true
in my case), she called me back the next day with an offer of a one year
grant. Even if you get no grant $$ in your initial package doesn't mean
you can't get some!
