Admission & Application Survey |
| Ful-time law program |
Miami's selectivity has risen since I was a law student. As a result of
wanting to move up into the top tier of law schools, they want high-
caliber students. L-SAT scores have risen among our incoming classes. UM
has a rolling admissions policy, so apply as early as possible. This is
also true for scholarship consideration. I applied in October and by
January I had an offer and a scholarship. You can get excellent
scholarships here, but it takes a lot of effort. Write, rewrite, proof,
and re-proof your essays. The University likes clear, concise writing
that doesn't meander to the point. They want to know that your in a good
position to write like a lawyer. After all, the school prides itself on
a strong alumni base, and it wants to keep the reputation.
