Full-time law program Crime is pretty low. Champaign is a college town in the middle of nowhere. This is probably a plus for law school (especially the first year) because there are very few distractions in town. All of the basic amenities are here (chain restaurants -- Fridays, Red Lobster, Outback, mall -- limited, gap, old navy, movie theaters, bars, etc). You're not going to get anything upscale around here but hey, you??re living on loans its better to keep your money. Apartments are reasonable (1 bedrooms 400-600 & 2 bedrooms 500-800). I must admit that the rumors are true...the stench of the south farms can be over powering. Other than that the QOL is pretty good.
