Who ahs time for a social life in law school??? But, if you do, Athens
is a GREAT place! Lots of bars, great food, and great shopping, all
right across from campus. Plus, if you get a parking permit, you can
park in the North Deck for free on nights and weekends which means easy
access to downtown, and a relatively safe place to leave your car.
Parking downtown can be difficult otherwise, unless you are willing to
pay for one of the public parking decks. There are also lots of events
on campus and football is HUGE here. I think our stadium hold almost
100,000 people and the whole town is dedicated to UGA sports. Each
student has the opportunity to buy football tickets at the beginning of
fall semester..I think it's about $8 a game. You can often re-sell tix
you don't use for a large profit. No matter what, you will never be
bored in Athens!
