Lawyers from around the globe descend on Hyde Park every year to scoop up highly
desired Chicago law students. Almost every major law firm know to man will talk
to Chicago law students.
A large proportion of students choose the corporate law life following
graduation, however, the percentage of those seeking clerkships seems to be
climbing.
The most difficult aspect of recruiting is determining the geography of where
you'd like to work. For firms, there is a large pull to New York City and
Chicago, and a decent number to San Francisco and Los Angeles. And as for
clerking, Chicago is well represented among the Supreme Court clerks, as well as
most high profile districts around the country.
