There is something for everyone here. There are very few places to hang out inWestwood (community in which UCLA sits), but a ton of places in Santa Monica, Venice, Beverly Hills, Brentwood and other surrounding communities. UCLA generally has weekly events, ranging from free movie screenings to athletic events. At the law school, student government entity sponsors weekly events, including BarReview where students are invited to a different bar each week. Restaurants. Restaurants are everywhere and cater to the different price ranges. It really depends on your particular taste and preference. You might have a taste for Ethiopian food one and Italian the next, and you will find both very close to campus (within 5 miles). Dating scene. Excellent. I don't know the ratio of guys to girls, but it is certainly better than average, for both sexes. Greek system. Not active at the law school, but it seems to be thriving with the undergraduates. Sorority houses are near the law school and fraternity houses are on the other side of campus.
