Social Life Survey |
| Full time law |
School's social life seemed OK, though I was married so didn't really
get involved in it too much. Seems like quite a few social activities
for students to participate in.
School is named King Hall after Martin Luther King Jr., and prides
itself on diversity, yet you won't see much of it in the student body.
Very heavily Caucasian and Asian. UC-Davis campus as a whole seems much
more diverse.
Don't expect a diversity of ideas either. Very Politically Correct.
The law school leans so far left, it is about to tip over. Their idea
of a debate is an extreme left-winger, against a moderate left-winger.
A conservative speaker was scheduled, and they threatened to cancel her
speech because it might be controversial.
Restaurants - Thai Nakorn, London Fish, Symposium, The Grad,
Crepeville, many good Chinese places, many pizza places. Generally very
good restaurants.
Very close (20 minutes) to Sacramento, with great variety of food and
entertainment. IMAX theater. Old Sacramento tourist area.
Great access to Sacramento airport, very easy to get in and out quickly.
2 hours to Bay area. 2-3 to Tahoe, Reno area.
Davis has a nice central park, as well as a farmer's market, and music
in the park.
