Employment Prospects Survey |
| Full-time law program |
Because Davis Law brings in students who already have achieved more than just a
BA or a BS, the career prospects of its students tend to match those of even the
top ten law schools. Those who do well at Davis, find themselves at no
disadvantage when it comes to getting jobs at such "biggie-biggie" firms such as
Jones Day, MoFo, Arnold and Porter, even New York's finest. In the 2003 OCI
season, Davis placed a high number of students in the Bay Area which means they
were able to compete successfully along side such law school titans as Stanford
and Boalt. The campus recruiting is adequate if you are way above adequate. But
if you are coming in with not much more than a BA, you will have to hustle more
than a little to get the big break. Davis is well-regarded among potential
employers throughout the state and it is believed that its profile will be raised
on a national level once its alums branch out: Davis Law, not quite 40 years old
as a law school is just now seeing its best and brightest shine. As more and more
students make their mark the name will be that much more marketable.
