| Full-time law program, public policy program |
The career prospects coming out of Boalt are excellent, with a wide choice of
jobs. The recruiting process is heavily biased towards corporate law firms,
however, since they are the ones who show up and make an effort to get recruits.
Many other opportunities exist, and the Career Office does a decent job of making
them visible if students go to look for them.
There is no standard path out of policy school, and many students continue on
with whatever they were doing before then went to school. Many students end up
in some sort of public sector job, or consulting, but just about anything is
possible. In that sense the MPP is much like a public-sector MBA.
