Career Services attempts to be very helpful, but Alabama does not have many
out-of-state firms interview on campus. There is an open-door policy with the
career services office. I found it more helpful to meet iwth faculty for career
advice, as I was planning on moving out of state. There are a variety of
resources available in the office, and students can often be found in the office,
researching firms. Students have free use of the fax machine and telephone to
call employers.
Many large firms only want graduates from top-tier schools, and Alabama students
qualify.
