Two brief essays were required when I applied: a personal statement and
a description of a life altering moment. No interview is necessary, but
I highly advise candidates to visit the campus if they are interested.
I waited until after I was accepted to visit and everyone was
wonderful. The atmosphere was very inviting and the reception I
received from the students, faculty, and staff was so welcoming--my
visit ended up being the deciding factor in where I attended law
school. I visited other campuses but the people at Alabama were the
most friendly.
As a top tier school, the selection process is pretty intense. Most
students are from in-state; I was one of very few students with no
connection to Alabama.
