Now this is law school ladies and gents... which means all work and
little play... however, you'll find a decent amount of Touro events to
give a nice break from the library monotony.
Every Thursday night there are specialty drinks offered to Touro
students at a local bar called Finley's. There is plenty of music and
good company because a lot of students make it a weekly "must do" to
kill some stress.
In addition, the various clubs on campuses offer annual dances, fright
night for Halloween and a host of lecture and forums of interest.
Karoake night is becoming a favorite and occurs about once a semester.
The Student Bar Association tries to "spice" thing up w/ things like
80's party... sports night.. etc.. these are usually very well attended
as people are always looking for a reason to go out...
Manhattan is a 1hr train ride away but this is not heavily exercised...
who has the time?
A lot Touro "couples" but the dating scene is limited. A larger
percentage of population of the school is Jewish and/ or older students
they tend to be already married or engaged... sorry!
No greek life...
Clubs include the Black Law Students Association, Latin American
Students Association, Christian Legal Society, Jewish Law Students
Association, Student Bar Association, Gay and Lesbian Society... these
are the most active... then we have a series of "one hit wonders" like
the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and International Law Society...
