| Part-time/full-time law program |
The Admissions Office was very helpful in applying to South Texas. They
held an open house so that we could gain insight into the school and
what they were looking for. Once accepted, they had another open house
to help us determine if the school was right for us. South Texas
encourages second career students and is supportive of the part-time
program. They are not as selective in the admissions process as some
schools because they focus more on the whole application. They review
your resume as well as your grades and LSAT scores. The like well-
rounded people who have other interests besides law. It doesn't really
matter what your undergrad is in- I had everyone from a biochemist to a
coroner to an elementary teacher in my night classes, plus had
those "just out of undergrad" in my day time classes. The age range is
22 to 72. It's very diverse, so there is no one "typical" STCL student.
