I think Santa Clara is pretty selective, but they will give students a
second chance if their prior academic career was not glowing, if they
had a good reason. I know people with much better stats than mine that
did not get accepted, but I had some personal issues that I dealt with
during undergrad, and I explained it on my admissions essay. They
seemed to put more weight on the LSAT, and I had a far better than their
average admissions score on the LSAT.
