Camden cannot possibly be mistaken for a resort destination. You can
probably verify that the city has been listed as one of the top 10 most
dangerous cities in the U.S.. However, to be fair, the campus itself is
very safe and the surrounding areas are as well. There is a major
billion dollar effort going on to revitalize the city. Vast
infrastructural improvements have occured in the past 2 years and are
continuing. While many of the students seem to live in nearby and
quaint Collingswood, there many who live in Camden. There are luxury
apartments on the edge of campus overlooking the river and the
Philadelphia skyline. A few students live in the dorms beyond there
first year. While they have kitchens and a living room, they are very
impressive.
