Admission & Application Survey |

Dean Andrews is in charge of admissions and she couldn't be more helpful
or friendly, in fact she goes out of her way to help students both
before and after admissions. It goes without saying that it is
important to have very good numbers and a clean essay - be confident in
your ability to succeed, but do not cross the line into arrogance - it
will kill you. Rutgers is very selective due to the large amount of
applications it receives. In fact, its acceptance rate is nearly as low
as some top 10 schools. Nancy in the admissions office is also very
helpful. They love out of state students. As an out of state student
they went out of there way to help me transition to Rutgers, even going
to look at apartments for me while I was still in Ohio. I have heard
that Rutgers will interview boarderline cases, but I don't know much
about this. Rutgers also is one of the few schools who participate in
an ABA study to test the correlation of GMAT scores with law school
success. If you haven't taken the LSAT and have a very good GMAT, you
may want to ask them about the possibility of accepting that score.
