Um, it is Malibu. There is no crime, fantastic restaurants and
celebrity sightings galore. The school itself is in a newer first-rate
facility. The university as a whole is probably the most beautiful in
the country.
One note about student housing: There are no members of the opposite
sex and no alcohol, even in graduate housing.
The only real safety concern is if, like most students, you live in
Santa Monica or LA. The daily commute through the speedway known as PCH
claims the life of at least one student a year. Be careful. Drive
slower.
