NOTE: Dates of attendance were 1974 to 1977, not as shown above. I
also returned there for my LLM, graduating in 1991.
NYU Law is a highly selective school, probably more so now than in the
mid-1970's. It looks at LSATs and grade point averages, but also
considers other factors, cuh as maturity, economic and social diversity,
and whether a candidate has done something interesting with their life
so far. Among my classmates were the following: a 64 year old widow
(she had assisted her husband with his practice before he died); a well-
known author; numerous actors and musicians; and my former history
professor. [Talk about intimidatiion.]
