Although the school had built a dormitory for first years next to the
campus, it was still not far away from a homeless shelter and Capitol
Hill, one of the most dangerous areas in the US. Even though the school
tried to maintain tight security on campus, a few students had either
been killed or attacked not too far away. As the food in the cafeteria
included drippy macaroni and cheese and burgers, students generally
preferred to eat off campus, for example, at Union Station a few blocks
away.
