Dean Treanor calls Fordham "the friendly law school." He might be
overstating it, but he is right relative to "One L" and "The Paper
Chase." Fordham students become very close according to class
schedules. You befriend those in your section and in your lectures.
Students generally feel free to share notes and outlines beyond insular
study groups. Furthermore, students socialize with each other on a
regular basis.
Work loads are similar to any other school. There is a five-day class
week and during exams it seems like you live in the library.
Nonetheless, few complain about the environment surrounding and duties
of a Fordham Law Student.
And it never hurts to be smack in the middle of Manhattan, 15 yards away
from the Plaza at Lincoln Center.
