Recruiting opportunities are fantastic: all of the major NY firms come to campus
and hire a healthy number of Fordham students. But, sad to say, my friends who
graduated unemployed have a different take on this. I have a friend who
graduated with me. He was in
the TOP 10% of the school, yet did not--and still does not--have a job. How can
this be possible?! Top 10% at the thrid-best school in NY? That is unacceptable.
True, he was only in the top 40% after Year1 which would explain his difficulty
in getting a BigLaw job (it was a bad market when we interviewed), but how can
it
be that he could not get a job at any other firm with those grades??
