Employment Prospects Survey
Full-time law program Fordham is heavily recruited by all of the top law firms in New York, and there is an excellent and active alumni network. Many state and federal judges are Fordham graduates, and many Fordham students get internships with prominent judges. Some major NY-based firms with prominent Fordham partners hire a large number of Fordham students. Fordham is not as well-represented in non-New York firms. Nationally, Fordham is still considered second tier relative to the top law schools, so it is still relatively difficult for people below the top 10% or who are not on Law Review to get a job at a top firm. Nonetheless, the placement office does an excellent job of placing people in midsize firms, in-house legal departments, and government positions. I believe most Fordham grads have job offers when they graduate.
