Fairly competitive, but the admissions process is fair I believe.
Prospective students must sit for the LSAT exam, submit an application
and undergrad transcripts. The quality of applicants has been rising
with approximately 5000 applications received for 450-475 slots. I
believe the average LSAT score is 165-167. The application is detailed
but straight forward, and includes an essay. Fordham prides itself on
service to others and giving back to the city. Therefore, it is helpful
to include in your essay or experiences what you bring to the party and
how you will contribute to the student body, society and the profession
of law. The law school is also committed to diversity in all respects,
not just ethnicity. Thus, a successful or interesting career history
may compensate for a half a point of GPA.
