Duke is a quiet suburban place that looks like a camp setting. There
are some nice restaurants, golf courses, and gourmet food stores around,
but this is certainly not party central or a major city. If you like to
go clubbing and meeting new people all the time, it's not going to
happen here. But if you want to study and get to know your classmates
and professors and even other professional students, this is that kind
of place. You go to each other's homes for dinner, bbqs, pool parties,
and such. It's great for families. It's not the most rocking place in
the world, but it's definitely a low key place where there are not too
many distractions from reading the law which may be the perfect place to
prepare to be a top lawyer anywhere afterwards.
