Durham itself is pretty dull, but fortunately, Chapel Hill is about ten minutes
away and full of bars, restaurants, and coffeeshops. The Cosmic Cantina is a
great burrito place in Durham that's open til 4AM - pretty popular amongst the
library crowd. Highlight of Durham is baseball and barbeque. The minor league
Durham Bulls play in downtown, about five minutes from campus, and during spring
and summer (if you're around) you can get a good seat for about $4.
