Better than average law schools, but far worse than schools in or near its
class. Recruiters hate traveling to Ithaca, and students are challenged in job
searching by the remote location. Unlike almost every other law school in the
nation, Cornell Law retains no alumns in its native city. That's bad news for
careers, particularly in the long term when contacts and long-term friendships
count most. Any other Ivy League would be a better choice, as would most
high-quality state law schools. Remember, every law school studies the same
cases and books (by and large); it's up to you whether you get a first-rate
education from them.
