Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time law program |
Essentially, I filled out an application which included an essay portion
and had to submit my LSAT score as well as transcripts from
undergraduate institutions and three letters of recommendation. There
wasn't an interview, but I was invited to various programs to take a
look at the school and hear about the views of the school and the
programs available with emphasis on the legal writing program and the
legal clinic program. Currently, the school is attempting to have
smaller classes and raise the LSAT scores and therefore the ranking of
the school, which started the year before I was applying. Therefore, it
has become more selective and students that would have gotten in five
years ago are being wait-listed. My advice to students attempting to
get into Chicago Kent College of Law would be to attend the various
events available at the school and make an attempt to meet with the
Deans and other administrators both to learn more about the school
currently and the direction the school is taking and to establish
yourself as an individual rather than as a GPA or an LSAT score.
