Quality of life -- what life? One piece of advice -- avoid the 12th
floor socials (the student association spends way too much money to
bring you kegs of beer)... it's just a bad idea (great collection of
pick-up lines to be expected). Ultimately, you will find a core group
of friends to hang out with who are not as crazy as you imagined law
students to be (or as crazy competitive as you want to be). And they
will be the people you go to when you break up some long-distance
relationship during the first year, the people who will support you
when you don't get that "dream" big firm job your second year, and the
folks who will drink with you after the bar exam.
