Compared to other schools, BU's admissions office conducts itself with an extremely personal touch - they called me to tell me about my acceptance before they sent a letter. With increasing selectivity, the school has also seen an amazing increase in applications and I expect that this will only increase when they get the new building. The mean LSAT score jumped from about 160 to somewhere between 163-165. They seem to like diverse and nontraditional students. Most of the students here took some time off before coming to school - something that I highly recommend.
