Quality of Life Survey
J.D. Grundy is a VERY rural area. The closest Wal-Mart is 37 miles away. The population is 1500 and the very large, undeveloped mountains are oppressive. Housing is sub-standard for the most part and the few places that are acceptable are overpriced for a rural area. Dining is non-existent. There is one theater that runs 3 movies and a bowling alley. The winters here are very cold and the summer is very short. There are no multi-cultural activities and no minority populations. On the bright side, there is virtually no crime in Grundy, with the exception of the law school shooting. To sum it up, the quality of life here is poor.
