Prestige with employers is very high given the world recognition of the
university, and the status of the department. Professors were very willing to
discuss career options and the university's career counseling center helped me
craft my C.V. THey also held a number of generally useful job application
workshops. THere was at least one major job fair held at the university per year.
No one I know had any difficulty securing a postdoctoral fellowship, and many
were awarded with prestigious and competitive fellowships from private
foundations or the NIH.
