Note that since we were married we did not participate in the Greek
system and dating. However, there was a wide variety of restaurants and
clubs where students could spend cocmfortable evenings. We actually
founded a Scottish Country Dancing Group (in 1977) that still exists and
is going strong. Wisconsin is a wonderful place to spend one's
undergraduate and graduate careers. The work is hard, and you learn a
great deal. At the same time there is a significant amount of other
activities that can tempt the student in his/her spare time. We were
also involved in the Hoofers outing clubs while we were there.
