| full-time graduate program in Medical Physics |
The department has research groups in many imaging modalities in addition to
multiple radition therapy groups. The history of placing graduates in excellent
positions is very strong.
Students who graduate with a Masters are able to enter the challenging,
lucrative field of radition treatment in a clinical setting. Many of the faculty
members have high standing and strong ties in clinical fields and I can't think
of any student who looked for a job for very long. Many students I know of were
able to find an ideal situation for themselves and continue to be very happy with
their careers.
When completing a PhD in therapy or imaging, opportunities in academia, industry
or clinical settings are options. Students have gone on to successful careers in
each of these disciplines. The strong reputation of the program, as well as that
of members of the faculty, is critical in career placement.
