The degree title I wound up with was incredibly difficult to work with. The
GSLIS department has now corrected that and issues a MIS degree. There are a few
internships in the department but there are many fellowships, and private
internships in the austin area. Lots of them are paid internships. The Career
placement resources do exist and are quite extensive. Most of the items you can
find through the departments career resources are not those you could find
elsewhere which is a big plus.
