My intership sponsor was Susan Marcos-Mendoza, who is now the Chair of the
department. She was fabulous at mentoring me and found me two different
internships. One was working as a Compensation Analyst at a hospital and the
other was working as a course developer for the university's training &
development department. A fellow student eventually told me about a state
government fellowship, which I was awarded a position with the Office of
Personnel Management and built a more solid HR background-paid and with benefits!
It was called the Carl Albert Executive Fellowship and I stayed there until the 2
years were completed.
