For the traditional students, activites abound surrounding UNI. The
University puts on numerous functions and activities throughout the
year. The clubs and organizations pick up the flack. "The Hill", as
the students refer to it, is located only one block off the main
campus. This small ten block section houses numerous eating
establishments, bars, gas stations, a small grocery store, two book
stores, art store, a copy place, and several small shops. The
laundromat is located within this vacanity also. The students do not
have far to travel if they do not have a vehicle. If they have a
vehicle Cedar Falls and Waterloo and loaded with places to go and
things to do. I cannot think of one establishment that you cannot find
within the two communities. Since they are joined, it makes life very
convenient for the students.
