The dating scene is undeniably slanted towards the undergraduate
level. Greek life is strong and fairly present, but for graduate
students, we usually find our own comfort spots. Several of the
favorites include: The Lantern which doubles as a chic, comfy "zen"
style bar and feng-shui influenced Asian restaurant; Orange County
Social Club in nearby Carrboro; The West End Wine Bar and The Library.
The campus is two hours from both the beach (Outer Banks) and the
mountains for recreational activities. Students often find themselves
in coffee bars like Starbucks, Cariboo Coffee and Strong's on Franklin
are among the favorites.
