The Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota is the largest
single campus in the U.S. It is located on the Mississippi River, in the
center of the Twin Cities metro area.
My wife and I lived off campus, in an area called Northeast Minneapolis.
At the time this area was a mainly blue collar neighborhood with a
diverse ethnic mix. Although this was not real smart, we felt safe
enough living there that we often did not lock the house when we left
for work or school.
