There are both on-campus and off-campus housing programs. UIC provides
student with information such as how to apply for housing and the
rate. It also have pictures of what the outside and inside of the on-
campus housing look like. Also, for student who wishes to live off-
campus, UIC have direct contact with Apartment landlords who post their
leases online for student to see and contact them. The system also
offer student to post their own ad as to either looking for an
apartment to lease or looking for roommates to share the lease with.
The campus also provide 911 phone booth all around campus. Let say you
are walking late at night and someone is following you. All you have
to do is stay calm and find the nearest red booth (the 911 phone booth)
and dial help and tell them your location. In less than 5 minutes the
campus police would arrive at your location.
There are shuttle bus available 24-7 to get student from one end of the
campus to another. In addition, there is also a commuter bus which
takes student to the public train.
The food court provide meal ranging form Wendy's, pizza, Mexican,
Chinese to salad, coffee, bread, donuts, beverages and fruit juices.
