Stanford has a reputation for poor social life, but I don't know how
well-founded it is. I
know several couples who met there and married.
We were lucky living in a co-op. We had weekly parties (we were allowed alcohol
back
then). There was always time to socialize around meals or to scheme at chore
time.
Stanford has a Greek system, but it's not like in the South where all social
life revolves
around it.
