| Full-time M.Ed. Counseling Psychology |
Being a small program where most students either do an internship their second
year and then look for full-time employment, or study for the second year and
continue on to a Ph.D. program, campus recruiting was a non-entity for our
program. Out of the four students who did an internship, all four landed a job at
a college upon graduation. The internships were such that the students received
great experience, and being one of the only athletic counseling programs in the
country, demand for the students was high.
The professors took an active part in helping the students land positions (or
get into Ph.D. programs), reviewing resumes/cover letters, writing letters of
recommendations, and identifying position openings that they saw advertised.
