Since I don't live near campus I cannot comment on what the popular bars
or dating scene is like. There are many things to do in the San Jose
area however and I don't think one would get bored any time soon. San
Francisco is about an hour away as is Oakland. There is the beach and
Santa Cruz. There are some amusement parks, movie theatres, malls, and
much, much more. The San Jose airport is located fairly close to the
school as well so travel isn't too big of a problem.
