Bars and restaurants are great in Troy; jewels in the rough, so to
speak. I don't think people appreciate Troy's restaurants as much as
they should. You are a quick drive to skiing (West Mountain or Willard
Mountain; Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts); great shopping in Albany or
Saratoga. Greek system is present, but as a graduate student, I was
never involved---however, if I had attended undergraduate school, I
would've pursued that opportunity. Dating scene? Not sure, as I am
exclusive with one individual, although the male:female ratio is
something like 7:1 on campus. Great events: hockey to social events.
Great alumni programs, too.
