If you know an alumnus/alumna, ask for their recommendation when
completing your application; this, I believe, was key to my acceptance.
Essays were the standard graduate fare, but my interview with my future
advisor was a little nerve-wracking. Not sure what the selectivity rate
is now, although I believe it was 15-20% when I applied.
