West Lafayette is a great college town. I moved there from Provo Utah
and size wise, it seemed very similar to Provo. There were many
different housing options for students. You could stay in the dorms on
campus, they even have graduate students dorm or you could find housing
quite easily out in the community. It was a safe town to live in and I
could travel where I wanted with out worrying about crime. One nice
thing was that you could ride the bus for free with a Purdue student ID.
Graduate students had a lot of opportunities for assistantships and they
were realitively easy to get. West Lafayette was a great place because
it is located right in between Chicago and Indianapolis so students have
a lot of opportunities to go to those two cities.
